I retired because there was a shortage of fish and I couldnt balance a ball on my nose like the others.
I felt out of place so I just went with homosapian.

update.

got rear seat today and installed it. just need to make some supports for it to actually carry a passenger.

also made a coolant overflow.
its made from a little plexiglass tube that I cut down to about 6". I plastic welded plexiglass to the ends and drilled a low hole on the one end and a high hole on the other.
I plastic welded the little tube connector thing to it and its good to go.

just a small update :)

Pics of bike with rear seat!
I have two rear seats now...
some guy on the R1 forum just sent me a seat. for NO charge...not even a shipping charge O_O
I told him that I would at least pay shipping and he never replied and today I got the seat from ups...
and I bought the one on my bike for $30

well, I have an 02-03 r1 tank that I can swap right over with only needing to bolt a bracket on.
the tank just leaves a gap between the tank and frame which I could easily fill.

and I have 2 04-06 r1 tanks that will need much modding.
the under part that sits into the frame is too wide so I need to do alot of hammering.
if I have a grinder and welder then I could easily do this mod.

04-06 r1 tank.
Iv already starting the hammering on this tank
you can see how much farther I need to go down. about an inch.

I like the blue and yellow

put this tank in crooked so you could kinda see what it will look like when it mates to the frame...also had to take an awkward angle pic lol.

no tank!

The last thing Im going to need to do after the tank swap, is raise the tail higher.

the advise I was looking for, is what tank should I use?
or should I fiberglass a 04-06 tank fairing and just use that just like crazyc did on his fzr1000 fighter.

personally, if you HAVE to use an R1 tank, i'd say go with the 04-06 tank because it matches the lines of the other fairings you've used much better in my opinion. it would take quite a bit more work than the other tank (hammering and the like), but overall i think it would look better with the rest of the fairings.

the 02-03 would probably be easier, just having to fill in the gaps and make sure it mates with the frame better, but it seems a bit more rounded than the other tank. i like the sharp edges of the R1, thats why i've always liked that bike, and the 04-06 tank seems a bit sharper. :shocker good luck either way!
