ideas for our direction
Hey you guys (especially Rage and Tommy),
Here are my thoughts on the immediate direction of the Fizzer community. Already we've become divided into two different sites and I for one would rather visit just one site everyday than go back and forth between the two.
So here is my proposition. I propose that we go ahead and move back over to the archives (make this one a redirect) and ask Mike for joint admin access for Rage and Tommy. Then, once we are reunited over there, we can decide what direction we want to take. But before we tear ourselves further apart, let's reunite/regroup and move as a unit.

Thanks, for a country where nobody is allowed to mind his own business. Thanks, for a nation of finks.

Re: ideas for our direction
I agree with the idea, but i dont see it happening like that in reality. That board is his, this one is ours, big difference in my eyes and you can tell by how things are run. This site is new so it will take time to get alot of info here. I think it is worth the time as the atmosphere is better and more open here.
I did not visit that one a whole lot other than to get info, this one is more comfy and the info database is building it just takes time.
My opinion.

This is where I'm hanging.
It may take some time for our community to grow....but it will grow with or without the others at the Archive forum.

Re: ideas for our direction
Ian,
While I appreciate what you're trying to do, I think you're pointing out something that really isn't there. We're not a divided community - we're simply 2 different views of the same object.
As far as moving over there, why halt the insane amount of production that's going on over here. We'd lose a lot of momentum doing that.
Please, we need to stop creating the effect of dissension, but rather, continue helping new users and the current members here get the work done that is so very important.
Thanks,
darrin

Thanks for joining and participating in the most "active" FZR Community on the internet!
Re: ideas for our direction
Well, I will say I am glad to see you here. I was worried I'd never get to see your bike at the bottom of posts ever again! IMO you have the prettiest bike of all of us. I guess I'm just partial to orange...95FZR600 wrote:I agree with voicing our opinions and I have grown to like this web site better and though I may check in over there, Im staying here for the long run. Re: ideas for our direction
I would like to give you guys BIG PROPS for real !!! I see alot of people talkin smack over there but this site has grown faster in the last month then the archives in one year. Just think a year from now how big it will be .. I never had an issue with the other site until some kid started callin me names on a post i had because i never changed the oil< never did it never knew how to > well lo and behold his good buddy just happened tobe a Mod .. So much for my name on the forum o well .. then i figured it was temporary , turned out to be indefinately . so i went and made a differnt name only to be figured out and then had my IP address blocked . You know its kinda shitty to know that somone who does not know you personally can take a matter so personal Mod or not . I have nothing against the other forum but in my mind they do not have the organization they need to keep it running no matter how many people they get to help out . FZRONLINE ROCKS and i love the front page looks so much more up to date the archives looks same way it did 4 yrs ago .. go figure

Re: ideas for our direction
I have been sitting back and reading the conflicts and ideas.
Here is one that I haven't seen (but I also haven't read everything).
Get ahold of mike #1.... He is very busy and takes some effort, but he will reply and get back to you.
then ask him if this site can take over the fzrarchives
take all the "data" and transfer it to this site.... and then keep the http://www.fzrarchives.com link alive but have it redirect to here for the forums and such.
I have read mike's posts of him wanting someone to take over the website. I feel that he is genuine in this.
But I very highly doubt he is going to post "anything" with bickering and who's is better.
As for my opinion.... I feel that there should only be "ONE" site for the FZR's... let it be this one or the other... but, just like the S-10 chevy sites.... I hate cruising for information only to find it after looking through 10 different sites that could be one really great one.
this site is a step in the right direction and will be better in alot of ways.
btw... If you need me to talk to mike and find out his opinion, (instead of trying to speak for him)... I will do so. I am sure he would gladly give this site and the archives domain name to us.
