This fall I built a 277° XS650/750 engine for a friend of mine-which ends up being like the 'long bang' in that article. He put it in a streetracker frame and man is it fun. It is deceptively fast, the engine seems to loaf, yet throttle response is NOW and traction IS really manageable. Slides are really controllable.
