i assume the red goes in the far left and the black in the niddle

then set it to DC 20 to and connect to the corresponding terminals?

kk battery is: 12.19 volts

after a good charge she's starting strong again

but no headlights and horn doesn't work, fuel pump still not in action

all the fuses in the fuse block look alright?

almost sounds like the relay is toasted.

I saw one on ebay for about 50 bucks BIN a day or so ago, should still be a live auction

no VR, the 1k's have an alternator.

there are some relays under the left side cover..one of wires that goes into it is the power to the fuel pump.

checked all wiring carefully, it's all good

so it's either the fuel pump or the relay, but the relay makes the appropriate clicking sound when i push from start to run so that means it's the pump itself

you can run a wire to it straight from teh battery and see if the pump pumps..........

Actually, the clicking is the fuel pump if I'm not mistaken. I think that sound is burned in my head from listening to it for 13 minutes while my entire tank pumped out to test the flow.

it was one click and def. from the relay when i hit off to run

Do like Haunter said.. Unplug the fuel pump switch. Take 2 wires and strip the ends off each. Run 1 to the positive & the other to the negative on your battery.. IF your pump's fine it'll run.. If it doesn't run, switch the wires (on my 400 the black was negative).. Not sure what the wire colors are on the 1000.. If it still doesn't run, then yeah, your pump's toast.. If it does run, then your relay would appear to be the culprit.
