I know cad600 cut off his old brackets and welded on new ones for the upgraded rear sets. That might be our only option.

I took some shots to compare the '05 r6 rearset to the fzr. Click on the picture to see a larger version. Notice how the shift rod is on top on the R6 while the fzr is under.

A better shot of how the R6 shift rod is way out of alignment

Breakthrough?! It seems that the top bolt for the heel gaurd, and the top bolt for shifter are in alignment with the R6 rear set. Here's the R6 rearset bolted onto the fzr. You will need about a 1/4" spacer on the bottom bolt.

Same Picture but I have the R6 shift lever bolted on too.

I tried to unbolt the FZR shift lever from the stock rearset but I almost stripped out the bolt. I'm almost positive that you will be able to bolt on the fzr shift lever onto the R6 shift lever. Then you will only have to extend the shift rod. If you did that however, the fzr lever is about an inch or so longer than the R6 lever.

I think your best bet would be to get an aftermarket one like I did, or a set with the linkage connecting on the bottom. Notice how the shift linkage is at the bottom like the FZR's in my pic. I would just have to get the mounting plates made, and a longer shift rod. That's it, I think!!! I'll see in a couple weeks....

All I need now is some brackets to mount them, anyone have access to a mill?
Pm me if you could help me out, and I'll give the dimensions I need for the brackets.
I'll try and figure out the shift linkage deal when they arrive, something got to work.
I'll start a new thread with the installation. Still got other parts to swap out also, but this :swear snow & cold weather got me not wanting to touch the fizz yet. Maybe I'll start when I get the rear sets. LOL2
How much?
