idk...it might work...the only way to find out is to try...
if it doesnt work, then you could always resell the cylinder to someone else!

Hey Mark, if the bracket and caliper will rotate to the bottom then all you have to do is weld a spot to the swingarm to attach a strut bar to. This way the caliper will remain stationary.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

It doesnt have a strut bar. There is a nut welded that a bolt goes through on the caliper to hold it to the swingarm. I think it will fit if I swing it to the bottom and try that like the R1 is.

Yes, but take a look at the caliper bracket. If you rotate the bracket to the bottom, the bolt flange is on the wrong side as it will point away from the swingarm. You'll have to make a strut bar to attach to a caliper/bracket bolt and then to the swingarm. Looking at some microfiche, the rear calipers are different. Swapping the entire assembly for a R1 set up might work but only if the axle diameters and spacer width is the same.

I really want to do it to. My plans are to buy a new bike in the spring and maybe tear this one down and do just that. Paint the frame and swingarm. If I do I will take it down the street and have it powder coated black.
