My old room mate got married and he's selling his 06 636 for a Harley. But that bike is amazing! faster than the other 600 series, but it does have an extra 36 cc's. When you hit 90 it feels like you've just begun to unleash it's potential. It's like the thing wasn't made for speeds below 90, it just feels solid. Get it! as far as the 03/04 636..i have no idea..but if it's anything like the 05/06 then it's well worth it. I personally like the black one because that's what my room mate's was. My room mate was telling me that they stopped making them because they were disqualified from the 600 series races from always winning, they disqualified them because of the extra 36 cc's giving it an advantage. And since they stopped racing them, not as many people were buying them.I8ayellowcrayon wrote:I've been researching all sorts of different motorcycles for my next bike, and I'm kinda stuck on the Kawasaki 636 ZX-6R. My attraction to the 636 at this point is purely looks because nobody around here seems to know anything about them! Does anybody here have some experience with these bikes? Are they excessively pricey to maintain? Common problems? Halfway comfortable? This would be my daily driven/show off bike while the FZR would be my project bike, so my next bike needs to be reliable and something that I'm not constantly working on. I'm mainly interested in the 03/04 and 05/06.
