Will the R1 98-02 Blue Puck Rear Caliper fit 99-02 R6?
Does anyone know if the R1 Rear caliper blue puck fit the R6 99-02? I would like to match the rear with the front if they will swap. They look exactly the same and since I have the R6 front they would match.

The caliper bracket from the r1 looks similar but mounts on the bottom. Im going to try it. Im watching them now on ebay. The r6 mounts on top because of the bracket. Both diameters of the bracket appear the same so they are really close. Oh well, $10 isnt bad if it dont work.

he has a r6 rear caliper 99-02 were a silver gun metal style 2 piston jobber. yes always look up part numbers for before buying. i think thr 2 piston caliper makes more stoping power then a 1 piston. i know it did when i swaped mine out.

My stock rear works too good as it is now. Two piston and I'll be going through rear tires like no tomorrow.

All im wanting to know is if I can use the 99-02 R1 rear caliper in place of my 99-02 R6. The R1 has the blue puck to match the front.

LOL, Thanks shredex! Why couldnt I move it to the bottom with the R1 bracket and caliper? Looks like the 2000 R1 and R6 Caliper are the same number.
