So since i am keeping it...

Post by blackfzr1000 »

what should i do? I don't know what else to do to my FZR. i have my tail lights i have wider tires it has the muzzy exhaust k and n ait filter (which i should cleam...lol) I would love to get that light that goes above the headlights but i can't find that part yet. So let me know what else to do! i don't want to do any motor work because my dad did it all. and it runs just fine. So tell me what should i do?

You could upgrade your fork springs to Racetechs or Progressives and then swap out your rear shock for something newer. Steering dampner /stabilzer (Daytona). You could do frame sliders too but you'd probably have to cut your fairings. R1/R6 brakes with stainless steel braided lines. Nissin style (the little bottles) master cylinders for the front brake and clutch...etc

They pretty much nailed it except for SS brake lines.
I wouldn't worry about sliders, HID is good but make sure you go with Bixenon so you don't forfiet your HI/LO options. Everything else is going to be bespoke based on your imagination.

Is that what that little square-ish port below the windscreen is?

And is there an HID kit that is a bolt-on for the FZR or do you have rig some other kit in?

you have to wire it in...........but from I can see of the wiring done to my bike it wasnt exactly hard. they are bixenon as I have hi and lo

and yeah that little port is for a small running light that went on bikes overseas.....

sliders...no real kit for our bikes, and you would def have to cut the fairings.

i already did the SS lines, my dad did the suspension already and its perfect. i have no idea what he put in there but its not stock as far as i know (i don't talk to my dad so i am not going to get that answer any time soon) I don't want to cut my fairings to put sliders in. So i guess my bike is done. i don't want to put HIDs on mine because i have seen to many headaches on hid kits on some bikes. And being that my bike is going on 20 years old i don't want to fire my wiring. So i guess my bike is done then and nothing else i am going to do to it :( i guess i need to start saving for a new bike! if anyone has that third light please let me know!!!

Let me know if you find a few of those lights, I've been periodically looking on ebay UK for them as well. I'll keep my eyes peeled for ya.
