So I wrote an article... big deal.

Great article Darrin. I think you really captured, and expressed the true feeling of freedom, and happiness that "our rides" give us. I'm preparing for my first Trackday next spring in Loudon, NH, and I think my anxieties are much the same as yours were. I look forward to your next article.

Just read it and found 3 grammatical errors and 2 references to those "Do the superman dance" videos on youtube. Wait, what are talking about again?? :headscratch:

jk Great article Darrin. It really captivated what the first time on the track would be like. Nice read.

Darrin- What a great article, that's exactly the same way i felt when i got back on the MX bike after a 20 year hiatus. Well, close anyway, since I had only really stopped riding during college. Makes me really want to do a track day next year.

So did your GSXR's rear end get "Squirrely" on you yet? My Honda did a few weeks ago, amazing how these ultra-light, super-powerful bikes are for handling, great most of the time, but pushed a little too hard on just the right curve and then some medium pressure braking can really make you feel like you're Nicky Hayden about to turn into a full-on Troy Bayliss slide off the track.

Nah. It doesn't have enough power to do that. I either need to lose weight or gain some ponies...

Darrin,
good read did you know our very own Steve -china-racer is in the same mag

If you want to go faster losing weight (you & the bike ) is cheaper .................

Thank guys for the compliments. I wanted to write something that might encourage guys who are returning to the cycle world to get to a Track Day. Hopefully I encouraged someone.

Life is short... get riding!
