Stage 3 Jet Kit ?

Post by Dragon »

Anyone running a stage 3 kit in their carbs with the stock air box?
If so, what problems did you have? Any input on this is appreciated.

You shouldn't have any issues running a Stage 3 with the stock air box. I would recommend a full exhaust and a K&N though... or you're just not going to see much improvement.

Thanks for your reply, RD.
So what gains would I get with the pods?
My fizz as it sits today has K&N filter in the stock box, stage 1 jet kit, ignition advancer, & modified R6 headers with R6 can.
A lot of low end gain with the R6 headers & I.A., but will like to put the stage 3 in, for maximum power gain. I'm asking this to eliminate set up and tuning time to the minimum. I'm prepared to tune the pods if I have too, just want the most out of the fizz. Got all the parts, just need to know the best set up for the stage 3 jet kit. Was thinking on getting the Flo-Commander also, but is this just to help with tuning?

If you're going to hit the track and need WOT all the time, then go pods, otherwise stick with the K&N for best street performance.

A flo-commander will help tune the pods, but I would stick with what you have.
