Im about to go out and do the adjustments to my fuel mixture screws.
do I screw the screws in all the way, then out 2 full rotations? or 4? or what?

Re: fuel mixture adjustment
turned fuel mixture screws out 2 full rotations.
no bogging or delay in throttle response.

Re: fuel mixture adjustment
fine tuning from there...
As you get leaner, the idle should climb a but, to the point you have to turn the idle down..
Usually getting to the leanest clean idle ( fully warm) wil mean the least throttle opening at idle.
1/4 turn out (richer) from there is a great place to be.
Tune for throttle reponse with the needle at that point.

Re: fuel mixture adjustment
so I should turn mine out 1/4 more???
it seems that I need to put on the choke each time I start it now.

Re: fuel mixture adjustment
update.
when I let the throttle back in the bike seems to make a boging sound.
it just doesnt have a clean sounding desseleration.
any clue if this could have to do with my fuel mixture adjustment?

You're saying it sounds like it wants to die(revs drop below idle?) then catches and resumes idling? Or falls off and you have to throttle it to get the idle back?shredex wrote:update.

If you let the throttle snap shut, what happens? a) does it come back down to idle fairly quickly? b) does it creep back down or c) it overshoots idle and almost stalls?

Re: fuel mixture adjustment
it goes with the speed im going. it wont really be back to idle until im stopped or close to it. or if I have my clutch engaged.
it doesnt sound like it wants to die, it just doesnt sound smooth when it slows. its kind of a boging bubbling sound and I cure the sound by accelerating a little. but once i let the throttle back in a little it will do the bog bubble sound and not the smooth sound it makes when accelerating

Re: fuel mixture adjustment
when I let the throttle out all the way, then it will desselerate cleanly.
its just when lets say im going 45 and I let the throttle in slightly to go 40. THATS when it makes the bubble kinda sound
it might be normal though...
