starting like crap is typical. I cant believe you rode all this time with your main swapped like that. BTW did you already do the R1 fairing swap I see in your sig or is that what your shooting forshredex wrote:, I dont need to clutch it up...thats the scary thing. That's where I'm at ! Once I goto switch into 2nd the front just comes down! With or without the clutch.
My bike is so much faster now. I pretty much dont have any gas left for the week because I was out so long riding it
and even though my bike runs like a beast now, it starts like crap. I have to put the choke on pretty much every time and give it alittle throttle in order for it to start..
wheelies anyone?

my sign. is photoshopped. I hope to eventually find some 99' R1 fairings so I can do that to my bike.R3TARD wrote:

I think its going to look awesome. .
and yea, I had no idea that my pilot and main were switched in my first carb. Im glad I found it yesterday.
and before I took out my carbs/cleaned them/switched main my bike started fine. I would hit the start button and it would start right up.
maybe I need to adjust my fuel mixture screw now that I have the main back in the right place

Re: wheelies anyone?
I also forgot to mention awhile ago, but I tried a power wheelie in second gear and actually managed to get the front up about an inch. I was only able to accomplish it once though, iv tried many times since and have failed miserably.
Re: wheelies anyone?
yeah i cant pull mine up more than 3-6 inches powering in 2nd either. Like pimp said learn to ride it out in 1st and then try keeping her up into 2nd. Thats what im working on. I can get into 2nd but the front most always falls immediately or very soon . Have fun b safe

Re: wheelies anyone?
yea, I get it up to the right point and then feather the throttle in a bit and then it is just a nice ride.
I hate when I feather in to much and just end up slamming the front down and hurting my knees and man parts.
3-6 in 2nd is still pretty good. the new R6 cant do a power wheelie in 2nd.
