I average around 37mpg when romping on it to 55mpg when I ride like grandma.

Needless to say I usually get the 37mpg. lol.

well, I cleaned my carbs, and got everything back together.
it took awhile for me to get the bike to start, but I got it going and had to siverly adjust the idle screw because it would just die.
it runs kinda shitty now. I dont know if its because I put the main jet back to its proper place and i need to sync the carbs, or if that broken bracket has anything to do with it.

im going to take the bike out for a spin to see how she rides...I hope all goes well.

just got back from riding.
it rides beautifully and I think I solved my "Keeping up" problem because my acceleration seems to have soared. :headbang:

but for some reason I can only get the front up about 2 inches when I used to be able to get it up around 6-8.... :headscratch:

oh well...my bike rides better than ever now.
and I believe that I have the Factory Pro 1.1 Ti Pro kit on my bike...

I think this thread would be more useful if everyone told their mileage and their gearing.

For the record, I get high 50's transportation riding, mid 40's running for fun.

Stock gearing on a 96 FZR600.

I used to get 45mph city, 50mpg highway when I had the dead spot at 6.5k. Now, after cleaning and treating the K&N Drop-in filter, installing a new fuel filter, and putting one of the jets back in that had fallen out in the fuel bowl, it pulls like a beast. I regularly ride it to higher rpms now (feel the POWER!) and don't have any solid number on MPG now. I'm sure if I grandma'd it, I'd get the same mileage I was before.

could be what I got, a factory pro thing ...look at signiture the factory pro version of the jet kit doesnt just have the needles and jets, its pretty much a rebuild kit and I personaly think its a nicer kit than the dynojet kit. but the dyno jet has 6 slots on the needle and the factory pro only has 5, so you get a finer tuning with the dynojet version.

You can get as fine a tuning as you want if you prowl the bins at your local hardware store. I use half millimeter thick nylon washers on my needles.

My needles are turned down stockers, I use (right now-cool fall weather) 4 washers (2.0mm) under the clips.

I think your bigger tank will allow a higher Miles Per TANK (mpt) but wont effect your mpg at all.
that still amazes me what your getting.
my tank is pretty rusted out on the inside, I dont know if this would effect my mpg.
when I get the chance, im going to build my own tank, I would like to make one that will accept this style gas cap.

maybe do a new tank too. but Im looking for the cheapest way but most affective.
