found a tail that works

Post by erawtik »

A tail that works was sitting in my garage the whole time. Just needed a saw and welder :) . I took the fender cut it more areo dynamic and I took the under out and going to put a new one in with sheet metal. I cut my light bracket and rewelded it higher then cut out the rear peice of plastic so it put my light in more. Then im going to make a bracket for my licence plate and bring my turn signals in more so they dont stick out as far. Here is a what I have done so far.

Those are stock ones. They should fit.

Exactly, figured for the mean time il just hack up what I have and if it looks horrible the wife will allow me to order some new stuff :) . But so far it isnt looking that bad for costing me nothing more than a sheet of metal.

Nice he did the same thing i did just a hair different. And his is a bit smaller i wasnt sure if i should go smaller but looking at his i may just do that. I dont like where his turn and plate is located its to far under which you can see in one pic it is pretty dirty. Just like he said its a hella lot cheaper than the r6 mod and it cost me like $10 for a sheet of metal and a section of flat iron to make the bracket. Now some time over winter il find some different lights im thinking the cbr tail light it looks nice and bolts up to our bike.
