I know of some local racers that are switching to Buell. One of the main reasons - money. Buell is giving away a lot of money to get more involved in club racing.

It may break topic a little but I was looking at the Triumph Daytona 675, it's thinner and all like our FZRs but it's a triple with great torque and speed, something this crew should be able to appreciate.

Otherwise, I think Ducatis are ridiculous.

I think "Xian" is one of the few who is able to maintain one as a piece of furniture though.

Seriously, I've seen a few guys with the black Trumpet 675's. I must say the design looks really sweet and it looks like it doesn't have any extra plastic or metal B.S. weighing it down. I think Triumph finally got it. (although they still make the big "Rocket" which is about as heavy as a tow truck)

WOW... also... i just checked the retail prices for Triumphs... they're really competing with the Japanese big 4 now. It's hard to believe that KTM would even dare to enter the streetbike arena given these prices. Seems I remember during the late 90's i considered Triumphs to be unaffordable. Now they look totally possible and from what i saw at a local dealer earlier this year, the quality looks pretty good on all the models.

Triumph website also says for 2009 the 675 is losing some weight and gaining 4 horsepower. Nice. And not some ridiculous amount of overkill horsepower like what dummy Yamaha is giving the new V-Max. "Hey, I have an idea Takahashi, with gas prices so high, let's make something that really eats fuel"

8999 for triumph 675, 9399 for the special edition(or somthing)?
I like it more than ducatis, I'm just never a fan of things that are too expensive and do nearly the same idea.

It's like comparing a Z06 with a gallardo, and the Z06 costs 125k+ less? heh.

The next thing I get will be a brand new 675, if I blow the FZR before then it'll just get an overhaul no big
