Front axle diameter for the FZR1k USD forks

Hi,
anyone know the axle diameter for the USD FZR1K 91-92 forks please it rather urgent have forks in sights but no wheel or axle

I can measure the hole in the forks for the axle when I get home.........I dont have a spare that I know of.

the diam is of interest to see whether I will need to swap wheels or can use 600 wheel, I have a set of USD available but it will be at what final cost !!!!
I do not want to buy them & have to find a wheel , rotors,spacers etc

Hi George. The axel on my '91 EXUP is 14.6 mm. It is measured on the right side of the weel where the nut is. I've checked my Hayens manuel but it said nothing useful about this. I don't mind take the axel out and measure it but I hav'ent got time to do that until later today.

Thanks that would be nice as I know some Yam axles have a step down for the thread.

Thanks that would be nice as I know some Yam axles have a step down for the thread.

I'll actually do this today, Ill measure my spare 90 axle too to see the diff....

Sorry I diden't get back to you yesterday, it was a ****** day . Ok I pushed out the axel and made the measurement on the opposite side to the nut. And you are right, it measures 17.00 mm sharp. I hope you can use this info,if I can help whit anything else please let me know. :cheers:

no worries life some times get in the way of us all Chefen got the axle size as 17mm so I will work with that fact and post to WIKI when I have other "facts" to post
