Re: steering lock
fzr's have hazards? how do i turn them on? my lock works, when i turn it to lock all the way left the tail light comes on but i cant remove the key, 1 click to the right and it stays locked but the tail light goes off and the key comes out. im still suprised that there are hazard on the bike, i really want to check that out now.ShogunTX wrote:Mine works oddly enough if I turn it far enough my hazards come on!
Re: steering lock

Re: steering lock
Mine does that too...the manual calls it the "Parking" setting, although other than draining the battery I can't think of a valid use for itShogunTX wrote:Mine works oddly enough if I turn it far enough my hazards come on!

My steering lock works, but not when the bars are cranked all the way over...I need to pull them back a bit towards center to be able to turn the key into "Lock".
cannot say mine does the lights bit but the slight move on the bar to get it exact to lock is common on most of my Yamaha's ('79 onward )

Re: steering lock
Exactly I don't have the owners manual for mine so if it calls it Parking then that would make sense. I figured Hazard because it activated the turn signals also. In regards to locking I also find that I have to pull the bars a little bit back toward center to engage the lock.
