I'm not certain but why on earth would you want an airtech tail? I have the whole airtech kit on my bike and its thin glass with many imperfections that are obviously from the factory. I dont "wont" the airtech tail, its just what is on my bike now, and I will do a r6 tail swap when I can, but for now, I would like to just get the seat.

Its all good. If I had an extra sea I would send it to you. If your going to do the r6 tail go ahead and order the front seat now and you could try it.

I chose NOT to modify my tail for strength and I just didn't want to hack it up as the seat is cheaper to replace. I had to hack up my seat pretty well in order to get it to fit on properly. The R6 seat is also wider so it sticks out past the tail. Not by much but enough to annoy me. Its kinda hard to explain what I did to the seat . I'll send you a picture, but it won't be til wednesday.

Well it no longer sticks out cuz I tucked in the sides. I cut out alot of the bottom plastic and fiberglassed in some of it. Its not the prettiest underneith. I'll see if I can't pull the foam back out and show you how much it sticks out though.

a YZF seat will fit the airtech tail, i have taken a look at mine and im going to be doing it sometime this winter

you will need to cut the airtech tail though.

I have an 03 r6 seat on my air tech tail and it didn't take to much modding to get it to fit.
