Hey so far everything that people have donated has been something that the scopper can't run without. So all donated pieces are major. And I appreciate them all.

 :o

Ok...so that huge empty space under the gas tank / frame is for groceries right? But how can you make it look like a tough-guy scopper ? ...maybe some mad-max lookin' thin aluminum sheet panels shaped that fold up like 1930's tractor side... just thinking out-loud.

IDK ......uh........ or a small chainsaw-motor-powered skateboard can store under there for when you run out of gas ? I have no idea. Obviously not big enough to carry most passengers under there.

Well I have to put pegs in somewhere. My current ideas are either have them come down from just behind the gas cap kinda like a bipod or, have them come off from the motor mount/battery box and kind of arc up following the frame and then curve back down so the pegs would kinda float out there. Small arc like if you took a parenthesis ")" and tipped it left. I'm leaning more towards the arc idea but I need to mock it up and see what it looks like.

Feel free and weigh in. I have more people towards the bipod idea but I think it might be too harsh a line. It was my first idea to solve the pegs issue, but I don't know anymore. I want the pegs way out front so you'll be sitting mad clam shell style.

A small update on the scopper. My friend finally got around to getting me the title reissued so I had some motivation. I think it should work out once I brace it in a little more but I'm excited about this project again. I finally have a rolling chassis!!

My dad pointed out something to me when he was looking at the new work. I have a rear mounted motor in a scopper! Oh yeah.

Funny guy! I had it all in a rubbermaid bin waiting for the right time. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get a title for it so I lost interest. Now that I have one on the way and gas is going back up, a scopper sounds like a good idea again.

More pictures! I'm finally starting to see this thing going somewhere again. I got all the rear bracing done and welded in place tonight. Also figured out the seat mounting. Slowly the list is growing smaller and soon it will be time for paint and a test ride. Tomorrow I'm hopefully going to tackle closing off the tank/frame and getting the seat mount welded on and braced. From there I just need to figure out what I'm doing for front pegs and then that takes care of almost all the welding. I'll just need to run all the cables and electronics and it'll be ready to go! With the title in hand I'm looking at it being done before June ends.

More pictures. I'm on a roll!

I sealed off the gas tank and added the bung so I can attach the gas line. Now I can coat the inside with the POR-15 tank liner. I also got the seat spring mounts welded in place but I forgot to take a picture. I'll get one soon.
