need bolt size
anyone know the thread size of the nut for the swingarm bolt? i cant tell if i have stripped out the end, or am just using a nut that is too small, i really dont want to pull the swingarm bolt back out again! i meant to bring the one i had to work with me, to buy a couple different sizes on the way home, but i forgot it!

You neglected to say if this is the standard 3HE swing arm bolt or a modified version that goes with the later series swing arm .
If it is bog standard 3HE FZR 600 it is14.00mm diam by 1.5 mm pitch.

Axle nut is 22, swingarm outside is 17.PIMPMYFZR wrote:22 mm for outside not sure about inside
George's answer sounds right. I would have said 12 or 14 off the top of my head.

to keep this so we all understand :-
the axle nut is 22a/f (ie across the flats of the nut ) NOT AF by the way which denotes American fine thread
The problem lays in that a nut of 8mm diam * 1mm pitch can have 12 a/f or 13a/f depending on the manufacturer.
PS it better be right cause
A} I used a digital metric caliper on the bolt diam
and
B} then used a metric pitch guage on the thread Nerd
