With this new setup the exhaust will be chilling behind the rear seat. Plenty of room for it.

Heh, I'm just super sensitive to smoke. A guy I work with can tell if you ate garlic within the last 3 days and that's kinda how I am with smoke.

I'm quite happy with the seat though. I think it works great with the build. Now, do you bolt the springs to the supports or do they just hang out on there? Never used one of them there things.

you can either bolt the springs to something or you can make a platform with pins that stick up so the springs sit on the pins , that way you can flip the seat up if you need to get to something under it .

On a side note did you find a bike yet? I'll be in Scotland in a few weeks visiting some friends and taking some photographs for the ol' portfolio. Wouldn't mind checking out the bike (assuming you got one) and meeting a member across the pond.
