nice. i hope you're wearing gloves. and if you're going to spend money on a new rear sprocket at least get some boots also.

might as well upgrade evenly.

i think i've been doing too many wheelies and redlining too hard lately, sometimes the bike doesn't want to go from 3rd to 2nd... as if the bottom 2 gears don't exist. probably about time for a Vesrah or DP clutch kit. Do you guys think there are any disadvantages of using those instead of the Barnett kit ?

Could be a winter project or maybe i should pay a mechanic to do it... i don't think i have the right tools. Let me know what you think.

IDK

And don't underestimate those quads....
i've seen some with R1 engines dropped into them with 8-foot-long wheelie bars that take off like they're using rocket fuel. Some sick sh*t let me tell you. :o

maybe you just need to work on your launching in order to get that jump
i agree. you need to feather the clutch more to keep your rpm's in the sweet spot during launch. by the sound of the rpm's dropping off, it sounds like you are almost just dumping the clutch.

i launch my 400 at 11k to 12k. with nice clutch release, i can beat less experienced riders on 600's and liter bikes off the line. obviously they catch me shortly thereafter -- if the road stays straight. :duh:

i know one friend racing an 08 r6 launches his bike at about 9k. the trick is feathering that clutch to keep the engine in the power , yet deliver enough power to the rear wheel to barely float the front wheel. it just takes some practice. no doubt you will be beating the quad and turning faster times once you start getting the hang of it. good luck.

btw, nice vids :headbang:

Do you have the bike dropped at all? I would think that would help with keeping your balance and more control.

I mean, heck, you're not taking any corners... why not?

i think it has alot todo with the launching ... i dont care if that banshee has turbos and open headers , if you jump him off the line ..you should be golden ,,
i also think you should lean your body more forward .. put that helmet inside that windscreen lol .. but it looks like your having a blast out there man i wish i lived near you we'd be going toe-toe everyday lolol

you need to get ur tire loose, dont be scared, once that tire gets loose and you move you will not get the front up.
Dont know about ur clutch but when i launce(usually at 8+k) then the tire breaks loose and I dont bog as you did on the track because my rpm stay high and never bounce

i highly doubt it unless ur chain is stretched out badly .. i ran 14-45 then upgraded to 14-47 and i could barely adjust the axle adjuster , then i went with yzf600 swingarm 14-47 and couldnt get the chain on without running it to sprocket while wheel of the bike then sliding the axle thru wheel

so ive never tried 49 sprocket but I DOUBT IT WILL FIT .. maybe you can buy a couple extra master links then when you wanna try diff sprockets you can have the diff chain lengths available also

yea i think i would of gone with maybe 50-52 teeth if you need that much torque on the low end but dont forget that by time you get 16th of that mile that banshee just might catch up to you as your gears will wind out alot faster now , it seems like that banshee is running some diff sporckets too because hes shifting out fast as hell .. so maybe there isnt much you might be able todo .. except find somone else to race ..lol
