Where do you people find these deals? I bought my 97 off of a buddy for $2100 and it had 21.5K miles.tkclow wrote:The new camera is a Fuji S1000, I like the idea of saving the money on the fender eliminator kit with the angle from Depot, I will look into that. Thanks again for all the input and recommendations. I picked the bike up for $1500.00 and it only has 10,600 miles. I thought it was a reasonable price.

I say go with 15/50 if you are doing the 520 conversion. Same gear ratio and less wear on the chain from less bend angle. It's not proven but Zero has the 14/47 and is already in need of a new chain after about 7k miles this season. I have about 2-3k on my 15/50 and I've adjusted the chain once about a 1/4" I don't think Zero and I have that different of a riding style. He may have gotten a bad chain...who knows. Still though, with the same gearing and less chance of wear for the same price why not go with it?

Mine isn't black thought, it is a color change paint depending what angle you look at it, sometimes it is Green and another angle it's purple, aonther angle it's both. It doen't look bad at the green angle I'm just not convinced I like the Purple and Green/Purple. It was kind of cloudy out when I took the pics. I will see if I can get some of the different angles with it sunny out so you can see the difference better.ian wrote:+1, and I mean in the literal sense. you want Race Tech's .90kg/mm springs. You could also get .85kg/mm but my mechanic advises against this.
i'm 160 pounds so we're in the same weight category. the first month or two the .90's will feel a bit tight and hard, but after a couple months they soften (initial fatigue) and are PERFECT. .85's will be softer in general and many people won't notice the difference, man say. I'd go with Race Tech's.... i don't know much about Progressives.
Race Tech also offers something called a "cartridge emulator" i believe, which is an extra upgrade and $ if you really want to go hog wild. I didn't see the point of it since i'm not racing and didn't need fine tuneability.
