Re: What Sproket? At Dragway!!!!!!!
With the stock chain, you'd have to go down in the front another tooth... However, I don't recommend anyone doing that, but that hasn't stopped many people.
I really liked the launching ability that the 14/49 gave me. Course, I also had a new RK 520 chain to go with it.
Good luck! Four-wheelers have a lot more traction off the start I would imagine.

Re: What Sproket? At Dragway!!!!!!!
Why dont you recommend that? And I love the difference the frontend being "Strapped" down...I can leave at 6k and no wheelie.....but at 8k I tote the front tires 20ft...... Im only going to run the 49 sproket at the track....

Re: What Sproket? At Dragway!!!!!!!
Everytime you drop a tooth on the front instead of increasing the rear, you add additional stress to the chain and it's o-rings. This significantly reduces the life span of the chain.
The best option is to maintain a 14 tooth or larger front sprocket and go with a larger rear sprocket, such as a 49 tooth or even larger. With a 49 tooth, you can easily add a 16 tooth front for better mileage and increased chain life. A 15 would be nice for spirited rides and the 14 would be excellent for the track.
I would keep the 49 tooth on the rear all the time and just change out the front. Why? The 49 will add to the longevity of the chain. Also, the front sprockets are a lot cheaper and are much easier to change out.
This doesn't mean that a 52 rear would be out of the question either. Remember, you're not looking for top speed, but getting to those higher RPMs quicker where the FZR really shines.

Nice video!1BadFZR600 wrote:http://s459.photobucket.com/albums/qq31 ... ing002.flv
Yeah, you really need some take off RPMs. Your FZR is not getting to the right RPM range soon enough. Adjust those sprockets and you will take him next time.
Those 4 wheelers don't have top speed like the FZR does.
Any idea what your top speed is for the 1/8 mile on a really good day?
