Here are the pics I promised
Hey everyone, I finally got a decent day and new camera, so here are some pics of my new 92 FZR600. I know that the paint is a little strange (color change green/purple) but thats how it was when I got it. It will get new paint this winter, anyone have any color suggestions? I was thinking all black with chrome accents on some pieces. All it has now is a V&H SSR2 Slip-On but I have other plans through the winter. Let me know what you all think and thanks for the input.

Are there any front flush mounts for the front directionals/blinkser on the 91-92 years? The conture of the fairing doesn't look like anything would fit flush. I was thinking about the rear fender eliminator kit from Dennis Kirk. has anyone ever used that kit before? thanks again for all the comments

pretty nice photos. What kind of camera did you get? I wish I had your exhaust to cut down and put on my bike. It's so freaking clean.

I haven't seem any flushmounts made for the 91-92s. The Flanders, which are the nicest front signal lights IMO, do not fit unfortunately.
I wouldn't waste my money on those Fender Eliminator kits. They are way too overpriced. Just get some angled aluminum from Depot, drill some holes and away you go... you'd have to pick up some rear signals, but those are cheap on eBay.

The new camera is a Fuji S1000, I like the idea of saving the money on the fender eliminator kit with the angle from Depot, I will look into that. Thanks again for all the input and recommendations. I picked the bike up for $1500.00 and it only has 10,600 miles. I thought it was a reasonable price.

My 91 had flush mounts; not sure what kind they were though and they didn't fit _quite_ perfect.ragedigital wrote:tkclow wrote:Are there any front flush mounts for the front directionals/blinkser on the 91-92 years? Re: Here are the pics I promised
looks good... do a 520 chain / 14-47 Vortex sprocket conversion over the winter. one of the easiest / best / cheapest things you can do to improve the bike.
plus easy enough to do yourself with a few basic tools. Sum Of All Parts sells the kit for around $130 - $150.
Maybe a Maier passenger seat cowl. I think Dennis Kirk sells them. Unless you have a passenger that rides a lot or carry luggage on there.
If it still has the stock fork springs that's the next thing i'd suggest.... the stock fork is like mush... get Race Tech fork springs (type depends on how much you weigh) ... I think with professional installation mine were around $400 but the bike handles about 10 times better.

I was definatley looking at the 14/47 Vortex 520 Conversion from everything I have read, seat cowl is a for sure. What springs are better? I have seen the Race Tech and also the Progressive. I weight about 150 lbs and yes I have to agree the stock springs are way soft, the front end dives just backing off the throttle. Thanks for the advise.
