What are the normal Swaps....

Post by blackeyesandbruises »

Done to a 1992 Fzr 1000, I know anything is possible with enough fab work but what are the typical things that I can do with minimal fab work to take my bike to the next level? Thanx for any info. :tks:

I know about the tail swap but I wanna do the front and side fairings but I dont know which ones work the best and arent a complete pain in the ass, and I got a line on a penske shock, but I heard there might be a swap for the swingarm and I dont really know much as far as giving it more horsepower.

The YZF750 swingarm should bolt up without too much problem. But unless your looking to get the "Braced" swingarm look, there is no point to it. Most people do a swingarm swap on the 600 to get a wider tire. The 1000 & 750 already has a wide tire. All fairing mods are going to be a pain in the ass. People do swap the tranny out of a 750 into the 1000 to get 6 gears instead of 5. Other than that, there is a big bore kit for performance. All other mods to a 1000 are pearly cosmetic. One guy in Germany (I think) put a Duc 916 swingarm, forks, and tail on his. Didn't look too complicated except for the custom subframe he made. What direction are you wanting to go in?
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.
