thats not that far, sounds closer than spring hill or brooksville
The Alabama/Florida state line. I live in Midland City, AL. Just north of Dothan, AL; it's about a 30-45 minute drive from Dothan to Marianna, FL. I got the random desire to come help a fellow biker in need, if you were anywhere nearby. (Your profile just said "Florida", so I just had to ask) :whistle

Holiday, FL; on the other hand, is a little bit more than a 30 min. drive. According to Mapquest, it's around a 5-6 hour drive. :yikes: Sorry, but that's just a little too far to drive to help someone adjust their clutch. No offense.

Sounds like you got your clutch adjusted. Let us know how it works out for you. Just remember to ride safe, and just because these bikes are getting a little older doesn't mean they don't have power.

well its good that you would go 30 minutes out of your way to help a fellow rider. Two thumbs up to you

well, bike bike didnt have much power before I adjusted the clutch lol. I cant wait to ride it though. Im going to completly have to relearn. I drive on US highway 19 and I dont want to f*ck up my take off at a light. that would be embarrassing. and also f*ck it up at school tomorrow! in front of all my friends! that wouldnt be cool. oh well. at least im trying.

I wouldn't be worried so much about embarrassing yourself in front of people as I would be getting yourself hurt. While I haven't had any, from what I've seen on my friends that have had bikes road rash sucks pretty bad, and I know from experience that broken bones REALLY suck.
Just take it easy, and the rest will fall into place (hopefully not literally!)

Sweet bike, by the way! And if you're ever going to be in the Dothan, AL area, shoot me a PM (Panama City, FL counts, too!) and we'll go for a ride.

Anywho, last thing before I go gonna be a little free advice; if you don't have one yet, go ahead and invest in decent jacket and pair of gloves. Doesn't have to be too fancy, or even leather. I own 2 Technik jackets, 1 textile for the average/colder days, and 1 mesh for the really hot days (wear a sleeveless shirt underneath and you feel like you aren't wearing a jacket at all) and neither of them set me back more than $150. If you don't know where to look, start at http://www.revzilla.com. They usually have some form of textile jacket on sale at all times. Regular jeans and boots will work starting out. And always wear your helmet!

All this may be old news, but I'd rather you hear it too many times than not enough.

Okay, I know, I know. I'm getting off my soapbox now. :whistle
Most importantly, have fun riding!!!

guess what?
I was on 19 and went to pull into walmart and my bike died as soon as I let go of the clutch.
It was working PERFECTLY before this point.
Now the bike starts in ALL the gears, not just nutrual. and my guages flip out when I start it, they like reset.
WTF IS WRONG WITH IT NOW!
I finally figured out how I could get my bike to GO. I have to let go of the clutch like a snail. I hold up traffic when I do it, and even then it barly starts/

please help. I dont want my bike to die on the way home.
I have plenty of gas, just filled it yesterday, and I have enough oil.

PLEASE HELP

Don't know what to tell you man!!

Ease off the clutch and give it some throttle at the same time.
You may need new clutch plate fibers. I don't know!! It's hard without pics!!
I'm going back to work, so someone else can help, or you'll have to wait until I get home.
Later....
