R6 Tail and YZF Tank question

BTW. My boss has a yzf750 and I was thinking the same thing as you, but the YZF750 airbox is completely different than the YZF600 box. Although the tanks do look the same, but I can't compare them right now because his bike is in the shop.

This is the tank and tail kinda layed on the bike before all the cutting commenced.


This is after all the cutting and fitment. I still need to bolt the tail down, and various other things.

Yes I could if i took off the rubber bump stops on the side. It is kindve a bad angle though, I'll get more pictures tomorrow.

You will enjoy the tail and tank swap. It improves the look a 100% in my opinion. What are your plans on paint? You going to try and match the black and red? I think you should.

All the other plastics have been painted gloss black to match the black on the tank/tail. I haven't decided if I like it yet. I may have the tail painted black to match. I don't really want to mess with the paint on the tank because, it is in great condition and I know something will go wrong when I try to strip the clear off trying to get those decals off there. I'll have to take a picture tomorrow of all the plastics back on the bike. If possible I'd like someone with some photoshop skills to make the tail black to see how it looks.

Thanks, but it still needs a lot of work. The bike was not taken care of before me. I might need to pick your brain a little bit about the jet kit/pod setup a little later.
