Has not been running since stored in the garage about 25 years ago. In poor condition, but would make a good restoration project, or parts. I have the title. Buyer must arrange to pick up motorcycle.

I get it home and unhook the gas line cause the tank is rusted inside and hook up a remote gas tank. I hook up a battery.... and the first click of the starter....

It runs! No sputtering, no hesitations, no bad sounds from the motor. The tires are original, not weather checked, and hold air!

This is the coolest little thing! I am thinking of doing a complete restore on it. I can't go wrong with only $60 invested so far. They are going for $3-$6k completely restored. I doubt that I will have $500 invested if I powdercoat everything and get the few things it needs.

What do you all think? Should I restore it?

My mistake, it looks like it was a limited edition for 2004 only and it's not even street legal.

Well I am definately restoring it!

I got some quotes...

$400 pearl white powdercoat.
$70 boil and reline the tank.
$?? not sure on new front brake lever and perch (but I found some on ebay for around $20 shipped)
$?? not sure on clutch cable (but I found agian on ebay for $20)

So far I found out that I have a bunch of paperwork to fill out for the title to get it registered as a antique. Insurance is going to be $150 a year full coverage.

This should be fun!

I am going to get the tank boiled, front brake lever and perch, plus a oil change/filter/airfilter to get it road worthy. So I can ride it a while before this fall before the restore.

This is going to be sooooooo much fun!

Ty for the comments guys! Means alot!

Definitely run some SeaFoam in the oil before you change it. I'll guaranty there's all kinds of sludgey junk sitting in all the low points of the engine. I'd probably SeaFoam it, change the oil, run a tank of gas through it with more SeaFoam in the gas and then change the oil again.

How many miles does it have?

$150 a year sounds like a lot for the year bike it is. Is that because its really, really old?

reason is a $0 deductible and "Fully" insured.

I asked for the complete package. Mainly if anything happens to it.... it will be fixed or replaced.

You sure are lucky. Defenetly restore it. And keep it as original as poseble. This is a bike that will be worth a fortune in the future. but only if you do a good job of rebuilding it . A "bad ass" paint job whit flames and skeletons, chrome "race" exhaust and so on, will not only be bad taste it will also ruin a beuatyfull clasic motorcycle. my2cents You have many hours of pure joy ahead of you in the garage. Keep us posted on this project
