Re: How Far do you ride?
Ya long trips on a bike are an every other year thing for me.The biggest difference from my 2 longest trips were and Ohlins shock and shorter 155mm dog-bones that raised the rear end about 1.5 inches. My legs faired MUCH better with the new dog-bones...Hey NHFZR were did you ride, did you go up to my old neck of the woods in ski country???? I am moving back to NH (North Conway) next spring and can't wait!!!! Utah sucks bad!!!!! Mormons are not only dumb but crazy also!!!!!

Re: How Far do you ride?
I commute daily exactly 72 miles round trip to work and back at anywhere from 75-85/90mph. 48 mpg is the lowest figure I've seen. Oh yeah...we get good sweet 93 octane premium at the local CitGo station. So far this season, I've logged well over 5k miles.
Re: How Far do you ride?
75 miles a day,six days a week commuting. Not a single problem with the fzr.
Sold the fzr for a Ducati.....and, ah......the Duc is being disassembled ONCE AGAIN
I'm having fzr withdrawals .......I need a 400 frame for my engine...repeat at nauseum.

Re: How Far do you ride?
Just recently went on a bike trip. 350mi/per is very doable, especially if you spread it out over the day and take breaks. It was the 700mi. day back home that sucked.
I haven't posted any huge trips on the CBR yet, one 150mi. day and it was comfortable (although the OE grips suck, waiting for Kuryakyn sportbike grips). I did manage to make it all the way to the 600mi. service in the first week. I guess I've been doing a LOT of short trips.

Re: How Far do you ride?
Hey Noshoes, sounds like you don't like living in Utah very much, but I found it a great place to ride this summer. I was out in Arches around Moab, and remember a little stop in Bedrock....quite the interesting bathroom they have there.
Coming from the soggy cornfields of Iowa, just about anywhere with elevation was a welcome change.
Northern New Mexico around Taos kicks butt too, IMHO.
Sure love to hit that on the fizzer some time.

Re: How Far do you ride?
Baghr, Moab is super nice for sure!!!! I was there for 2 weeks climbing in early May and had a great time.SLC is what I am over. Funny story, I was driving around town a few Sundays ago (10 in the morning) and noticed how nice it was and how friendly everyone was, then I realized it was because all the Morons woops I mean Mormons were in church. So if you want to visit SLCmake sure to do it between 9-12 on Sunday morning when all the Morons (I meant it this time) are in their bogus church!!!!!!! Oh ya Alta/Snowbird also are the shit!!!

Re: How Far do you ride?
Hi,
well for day to day riding and one up touring the FZR is fine but madam & I have tried touring 2 up and at a 100 mile journey was not comfortable with both of us wearing back packs.
I dislike tank bags as they damage the tank paint work but that just may be the way I have to go when Madam & I do our tour later this year and that is some 800 miles round trip.

Re: How Far do you ride?
George,I had a feeling you weren't scared of putting some miles on you bike.
I can see where 2-up and packing gear would leave to issues regarding room. I plan on having a single seat for any rides on the fizzer. I have a cruiser for long distance two-up riding, and have logged about 60K in the last four years touring the west. My wife doesn't ride anymore so it's not a big issue worrying about the added issue of a passenger.
