It was a total blast! I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't been.

I think the FZR more than held it's own out there. Course, I wasn't going against the Expert Class or anything, but no one was out running me in the straights and definitely not the corners.

I need some Yamaha decals on it, so people would stop guessing what it was. There was only one other FZR out there and it was a 1k and pretty modified.

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of photos. There might be some more coming from the Pros that were there. I only had "Pit Boy", my 12 yr old son, to take photos. It was very nice to have him at the track.

Some things that I recommend if you go to a Track Day:

1. Take a tent. The paddock area fills quickly with the Expert and Race guys and the last thing you want is to be stuck in the sun.
2. Lots of fluids. We were going through water like it was, well, water... keep it cold.
3. Zip ties, safety wire and the tools that go with them. As you can see, my bike was pretty well stripped, so I didn't have too many issues. I have to remove the front fairing since I load my bike into the minivan. 2 bolts and the speedo cable and it's off. I should have removed the speedo cable since I rarely looked at the speed.

Here are more photos of the man himself and his trusty steed. You can see in the second image that I was going slow so my visor was up a little for air... must have air!

That's awesome man.. That bike is nice and clean.

EDIT: .....

Wait, you load that into the minivan behind (I'm guessing that's your son)???

I thought about a trailer, but with the minivan, it fits right in and there are anchor points all over the floor where the captain chairs attach. It's perfect.

Plus, since the mini van is about the same height as a trailer, it's easy to unload and load. My boy, yeah that's him, and I unloaded the bike this morning without any problems...

How did the 1098 go that you parked next to?
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

My bad. Saw the exhaust and the angled tail light so I thought it was a Duck.

Listen, you slacker, Mr. I broke my bike the day before Track Day, you wouldn't have to ask these questions if you were there... WOOT

There was a guy there with his FZR1k running the Intermediate class. You would have been fine with that with the TTT guys.
