Fuel system help
Please can someone tell me how the reserve system works on an 1991 for 400 3tj, I know it has a single outlet and when the fuel drops below a certain level it cuts onto two cylinders and then you basically cancel the electrical signal with the bypass/ reserve switch. How does the in tank sensor work, when I got mine and rebuilt it all, the wire on the sender was detached at the bottom with clear evidence of solder on both the wire and the part that it was attached too, so I soldered it back and eventually rebuilt most of the bike. I looked on cmnsl for the diagram but no luck, the manual doesn't cover it, and some second hand ones look broken like I thought mine was and some are connected. Is the wire supposed to be attached at both ends? And does someone know how the resistance part works? Thank you
