Gentleman,
We are developing an FZR for historic racing. It currently has thunderace forks, wavy disks and bluespot calipers with sintered pads. We haven't tested this setup yet but will do so in 2 weeks.
Problem is this brake setup isn't quite historic enough. I wonder if anyone tracks the std gold sumitomo's from the early fzrs 1000 with race pads and what they are like?
If the stockies won't cut it, I will probably need a more expensive solution, which I would like to avoid.
Any other FZR1000 racer around??
Thanks
Paulo

What's the cut-off date? What are the rules for your class? I can see them getting grumpy at the wavy brakes just for the distinctive, "Modern" appearance. People used to race these back in the day; surely there's info out there on what they used to do!

Re: Track Brake Setup for 1000 FZR
Cutoff is 31/12/1990.
They have to "look period". I havent seen any other bike with wavy disks. I think the blue spot brakes will also ask for trouble, unfortunately.
That is why I wanted to know of any setups people are using out on track.
