I was wondering if anyone knew if the same length chain for the FZR600 520 conversion kit would work on an FZR600 with a '90 FZR400 Deltabox swingarm. I guess the 400 swinger is a bit shorter so I wasn't sure. I'm planning on going with 14/47 for gearing.

How much shorter is the '400 swingarm?
All 5xx series chains have a 5/8" pitch (pin to pin length). If you knew the swinger was 1 1/4" shorter then you could figure that the chain you would need would be -4links (2x5/8" on each run of the chain)

Hey reelrazor,
I'm not sure how much shorter it is yet since it's still on it's way. I'll have to check it out once I get it. To measure, would I go from the center of the main pivot to the center of the axle (with the axle placed center)? I guess that would give a good apples to apples comparison. Or is it better to start at the center of the front sprocket? I figure main pivot to axle would be fine since the distance from the front sprocket to the pivot point on the frame is obviously the same regardless of which swingarm is on there (duh).

If you want to lift the front wheel on the FZR, it all really depends on your weight, but you're probably looking at a 14 tooth front /54 tooth rear or something similar. Course, you gas mileage will suffer.
