BDST 32 carb parts

So I tore into the carbs today and luckily it was either recently rebuilt by PO or remained fairly clean w/ very little gunk.

I also drilled out the EPA caps on me CA model and went a bit too far on one....
It seems replacement pilot screws are nearly impossible to find so my only choice is to look at the Factory Pro kit but $80 for 4 brass screws and $132 for emulsion tubes seems excessive.

The bike also has pods and a full exhaust so I may as well get the carb kit too but I'm looking at almost $400 for a handful of tiny carb parts.

Are their kits worth getting or should I just buy larger Mikuni jets?
I've been eyeing their shift kit too so it might be what I need.

I personally haven't done this on these carbs but I have done on my katana,it has mikuni carbs-34's.I got larger jets and put some washers under the needles with good results.You can order washers and jets online or just go to your local dealer to get the jets.They didn't have the washers so I went to the local hardware store and bought some small enough to work.I think the online store is Jetsrus. Thanks but the part I need is sort of unique to the BDST carbs which apparently Mikuni don't support any longer. The part I need is the 'pilot mixture screw' which adjusts your idle-1/4 throttle mixture.

I can't seem to find it anywhere on google but maybe I'm not looking the right direction?

12R-14105-00-00 PILOT SCREW SET; MSRP US$8.05, $5.77 at Partzilla. For the sake of one, it'll be cheaper at the dealer's. It's still in 'new bike' use (on the 2015 VStar 250), so there's no worries about finding it.

Wow, thank you! Theres no mention of this anywhere.

Did Yamaha have Mikuni make the carb because it doesn't look anything like the BDST. Do you also know if the carb float drain screws are also compatible? The Lite Tek site shows the Ducati with a hex head bolt.

Anyone have experience with the Factory Pro kits though?

Just a Hint: http://www.mikuni-topham.de (the german distributor of Mikuni) still have most parts for the BDSTs but needs a request by Mail as its not listed on the Homepage
So if you're not able to get the needed parts in the US (even from Aftermarketsellers like Factory Pro), it might be worth a try, even if shipment costs will be more than the Parts themselves will cost probably...

That's why I answered regarding the jets.No problem!
Carb parts are very expensive,I've bought alot of non-running bikes for the same price of a full carb rebuild kit and most rebuild kits don't include everything you need all the time. I've seen fully rebuilt carbs go for $500 or more.

I have a set of these. Sold a 400 engine that had them, guy didn't want the carbs. If you don't get the new one, shout me up, be glad to send a pilot screw on (they've already been partially parted anyway).

Currently in Isla Mujeres, Mexico though, not back till end of next week...

Hmm, looks like I may have to rejet anyway as they are stock and the bike isn't. Guess the parts aren't that rare, I just didn't realize partszilla cross referenced bikes.
