After doing the valve job, did you do the valve adjustment too? Maybe its hanging a valve open?

It wouldn't have good compression then, I have good compression all across the board

I didnt catch that you did a compression test after.

If an FZR engine has been standing for a while then it can be a bitch to start.

I'll assume it all works and is connected up right.
Use a second battery and put some jump leads onto the bikes battery.
Take the airbox off so you can spray carb cleaner in the carbs, new petrol in the tank will help too. When the ignition is turned on the fuel pump should prime with lots of ticking it should slow and then stop, put the kill switch off / on and it will restart, this time it should stop quickly.
If you have an exup you'll hear it make a "weep, weep" noise from the servo, just check it's closed with the prongs on the pulley facing forward.
Lift the carb slides and put a good squirt of carb cleaner under there, put the choke about 1/2 on.
Hit the starter and hold it, and hold it and hold it some more. This isn't a time for mechanical sympathy so keep holding the starter in. Spray in a bit of carb cleaner into the carb mouths and open the throttle to suck it in. Wiggle the choke in and out a bit to find where the engine feels best (technical innit) youre listening for the engine to spin faster, it will cough a few times and then maybe catch weakly, keep the starter button pressed in. It will eventually be spinning on the starter and firing you need to feed the throttle very gently to catch the engine only when you've got it there can you let go of the starter. Feed it some more choke and let it run you need the motor to be warm before you stop it. Wait a minute then restart it.

The bike runs!!!! So it turns out I had all the spark leads wrong. I had to check the manual to see the proper way. And since I have been trying for like 3 weeks to get it going, it started right up this time! Thank you all for your very generous help. I could not have done like this entire build so far without you

If your ht leads don't have labels on them then nows the time to do it.
I use some small zip ties 1 for number 1 going up to 4, so you need 10 in all

That's a good idea, thanks. I now have a carb issue where it is free flowing somehow when the throttle is closed as soon as I start the bike. Like I turn it on and as soon as I do the bike revs straight up and I turn it off immediately. It doesn't idle at all so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When you turn the ignition on you hear the fuel pump click, slow and stop ? Wait for it to stop then flick the kill switch OFF / ON the pump should only click once or twice.
It sounds like the mixture is weak, which causes fast running.
