So the 1995 FZR600 track bike i purchased to do a few track days on came with a 180 rear fitted .My question is as anyone ran a 180 rear on there FZR ..I have not rode the bike on track yet so dont know how it handles ..I was wondering if it is a minus to the handling and maybe i should change to a 160 ...it as the Stock swingarm and the tyre edge is 10 mm from the chain ..Also i dont know what the stock rear sprocket should be on these but there is a 48 on this one ive got
What opinions do people have on the subject
thanks
chris

Try this link
http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/ ... r%2095.htm
It has some info on the stock specs of a 95 fzr 600. As far as riding a 180 rear, I'd like to know how it handles too since I'm currently riding a 160 rear on the streets and am interested in switching to a 180

Re: Rear Tyre
I've just bought a '94 1000 Foxeye and it has a 180 tyre on. Is there any coding on the rear wheel we could check to ascertain what wheel we actually have?

Re: Rear Tyre
Somewhere on the wheel (either spoke or rim) it should say something like:
- J 17x5.50 DOT
- J 18x4.50 DOT
For FZR1000 Exup most tyre manufacturers recommend 120/70R17 + 180/55R17 (stock sizes are 130/60R17 + 170/60R17) even though some 180 tyres scrub on the swingarm chain cover.

1990 FZR 1000, 1993 engine, terrible state... but improving.
