Clicking noise when clutch pulled in!?
So i went out to start the bike and get the idle set at running temp. Got the idle set perfectly to 1200 rpm and as im sitting there i pull the clutch in and on the left side cover where the cable goes (i believe this is where the sound is coming from) Its like a non-simultaneously clicking noise! Its not crazy loud or anything but enough to hear it and it goes away when the lever is released. Does this mean it needs a clutch adjustment maybe? The bike was in neutral by the way. So the bikes running, in neutral, lever gets pulled in and clicking noise on left side where the cable goes. Noise goes away after clutch is let back out. Any help or confirmation on clutch adjustment will help a million! Have a blessed day
Re: Clicking noise when clutch pulled in!?
It needs to be looked at for sure.
I am betting you need to adjust the clutch pushrod free play-adjust AT the sprocket cover.
And, even then, with the clutch pulled there is tension in the whole system so your pushrod is likely turning...the clicking may be the ball between the clutch pushrods is starting to fail and is welding and unwelding itself to the pushrod.
That problem has been posted and reposted along with the answers probably 50-100 times on this site.
Good luck with your search-keywords: "clutch pushrod", "clutch adjustment"
AND< it's likely in the WIKI

Re: Clicking noise when clutch pulled in!?
Ill take a look at it but this is a fairly easy fix to do right? Just better get it taken care of now before it becomes an expensive fix?
Re: Clicking noise when clutch pulled in!?
Depending on how long it goes, you could separate and flare the push rods, meaning you'll need to pull the clutch apart on the right side. Not hard, just take your time. Since the adjustment is even easier and faster, definitely the way to go!

Re: Clicking noise when clutch pulled in!?
For sure. This is something that literally has just started and havnt rode it since! I plan on not riding it again till the day i get her fixed. I know the clutches in the bike are brand new!!! So i think the adjustment just wasnt done right. I have noticed since i got the bike it needs the adjustment to begin with. Ill let you guys know what the verdict is and any more advice will be appreciated 100%!
