After further inspection. I have found that a few harnesses are extremely corroded. Including (stator plugs, headlight plug, and the feul pump relay) the ones for the stator and the headlamp look to me as if they are fried. Could this be a sign of any other damage occuring? And also the wires going to the connector for the pickup coil look like they are holding on by a single wire. Im sure thats causing a problem. Any input on these? Or how to go about repairs?

Sounds like a new harness is in order. I wouldn't do anything else until that is replaced.

Any idea what the technical term for these harnesses is? So I can look it up properly and see if I can get replacements.

Just search eBay for "FZR600 wiring harness".

Ok so back to the "velocity stacks". ..... approximately how long should a fella make his? And do the pods fit over them and seat in the normal place in the carbs? Or do the filters mount on the top of the stacks?

If I have the rubber hosing im going to use to cut velocity stacks. Should I fit the stacks inside the uni foam filters? Or should I seat the filters on the ends of the 3" pieces of hose? Im just not sure how far the pods should be away from the mouths of the carbs.<br/>

So i just read this in another thread.... does this answer one of my above questions? Should they be appox 3in in lenght?

And the other question i have is also mentioned in his post, but unanswered on his thread....

So I have this in my messages. And the question is answered. Yes they fit over the stacks, which fit over the carbs. And the seem to be 3" above while mounted. So 4" maybe? And just work the stacks into the pods, they will go on if your determined to make them fit.
