Looking at a ton of used carbs, no other seems to have this extra hole. Both my inner and outer right carbs have this. What is it? And will I have a problem replacing one outer right with another outer right that doesn't have this hole??

I just bought a used outer right carb for my 600. After installing it onto the quad rack I noticed that my old one had an extra hole on it (circled in red). Looking even closer it looks like the hole runs thru the carb and comes out into the throttle plate (circled in red again).
