1989 FZR 1000 carb syncing

Post by Yamaha Bandit »

This will be my first time at a carb cleaning and syncing. My only problem is I have no clue where the vacuum hoses go when hooking up my sync tool. As I understand my synchronization screws will be sitting in between my carbs: Carb 1 (screw) Carb 2 (screw) Carb 3 (screw) Carb 4 and those screws should have a spring on them. Right?? Now where do the hoses go? Will I need to remove a screw and then screw in an adapter to attach the hose or is there something there for me to attach the hose. I hope I'm making sense. This is my first time doing anything like this and I think its a valuable skill to have. Thanks guys!!!!

No problem were here to help, and share our love and joy our bikes give us.That's good to hear! It's always satisfying as hell when you do it yourself. If you have them off do a cleaning. even if it's just a quick cleaning blowing the holes with compressed air.
