I wish I new about this earlier, and even have a friend who use to work in autobody repair who never brought this up...
Anyway like many bikers I've cracked plastic parts on my bike from many reasons. I've reattached parts with fiberglass, repaired parts with plastic welding (soldering iron), epoxy, and fiberglass. But till recently I have never had a repair or reinforced a part;That I've tested or felt was as strong as these hot staples.... have you guys tried or even Hurd of these. Forgive the expresion, But I think it's 'the cats meow'.

- The missing tab was reattached with fiberglass, by my friend a professional body guy, it didn't hold. The other tab was reinforced with hot staples, and it was cracked. Added are the the staples I used.

- With the hot staples just being attached, and yes I used side cutter to remove the tabs and a dremal to grind them smooth.

I bought one of these kits as soon as I found out about them, they have their place. Especially useful for stress cracks near edges & broken lug repair or reinforcement. Lots of videos on UTube.

Yup ebay... 145 bucks plus an extra 30 for extra staples it has and inside and outside 90* ones... well worth it!!!! I stated a new job and brought it to fill up space in my tool box and a just in case... well I broke an interior panel (it happens), because the customer rigged it and bolted it in instead of using snap clips. Well thank god I had it! Fixed it in 5 minutes, and no ones the wiser. many of the guys who saw it never new it existed.

That really looks the dogs bits I too have used soldering iron to fuse panels with great success but there's always that doubt whether it'll be strong enough in the long term
