Streetfighter headlight

Post by scotty110788 »

Hi, I'm looking into a streetfighter headlight, problem is I have 2 lights, one for main and one for parking, the parking one is jus a bodge job of led strips which previous owner fitted. But is there anyway to convert them to a single headlight rather than 2? Or will I blow a fuse with a simple join up of the wires? For main there is 2 bulbs, 3 wires each, parking light is only 2 wires. Hope u understand my question thanks.

The 3 wires to the 2 bulbs are Yellow (High beam) Green (Low beam) Black (Ground). The 2 wires to the Parking light are or should be Blue (Power) Black (Ground).

I'm guessing that your in Europe, In England you only need the parking light to be switched on if your parked at night on a road with a 40MPH Speed Limit or above, I'm not sure but I don't think you need a parking light for the MOT.

Thanks for the reply, so to attach one headlight, do I jus ditch one side off wires or combine them for a single headlight? Well parking light wires are all over the shop and no longer have the correct colouring, also found 2 wires, blue/yellow, black/yellow on each but only 1 other one for them to clip into leaving one spare and no where t go?

Yup you only need to use 1 of the 3 wire connectors for a single Headlamp conversion. the Blue/Yellow & Black/Yellow wires connect or should connect to the clutch switch.

Here's a wiring diagram it's for USA models but should help you out http://fzronline.com/wiki/lib/exe/fetch ... iagram.gif

Looks like 2 Males and 1 Female to me, the White(Top) Male connector should plug into the Clutch switch, it's on the clutch perch (where the clutch lever is).
