Well, it only took 2 days for the tools to get here. I riveted the master link myself and finished aligning it, as well as going ahead and installing the EBC HH superbike pads I got a little while back. Flushed and replaced the coolant, but it still needs a bigger fan with a manual override to deal with the south Alabama heat.
Definitely scoots quite a bit faster than it did, though I still have the carb/ignition problems in the higher RPM range hurting me.
Other than the occasional high heat problem, the only hitch I ran into with the conversion happened last night at 11:30pm. I took the bike out on a shakedown run, was slowing down for a turn and went to pull the clutch in, and ::pop:: the clutch cable popped loose.

I shut it down, put it in neutral, and pushed it into a parking lot. Had to get my sister to bring me some tools, and I pulled the sprocket cover again and re-attached the clutch cable in about 10 min. Since then, no problems.
