Too be honest without an original to take measurements from I would have just assumed to have made the spacer length the distance between the two recesses. Guess the extra 0.3mm makes an important difference, thanks for the tips.

I only just saw this. I've got a spare one from a wheel i chuck ages ago. You can have it for the price of postage, I'll sent you a PM.
With the spacer i found it was 0.5mm wider that the max seating depth of the bearings when i had to make one for my TZ250 rim (no one seemed to have one of those laying around
