this is a replacement tci I just bought from a well know member on here because mine was fried

have you checked the pick up coil resistance, to eliminate the coils check their primary and secondary windings if you haven't already, apart from that im stumped.

battery is fully charged as I keep my battery tender on it. Plus if I get 12v without the tci hooked up it shouldn't be less when it is hooked up?

I haven't checked my pickup coil but I know it's nasty. There is the metal stripe on it, well it's all gunked up & shit. I tried cleaning it up but it didn't help, so I guess I need to test that, but I'm probably gonna guess that it's bad...

As for testing my coils my ohm meter doesn't go to kilohms so I can't test them correctly. The setting would be 1K ohms right?

few hours ago you had 12v on grey @ TCI, that's why i mentioned the battery

read page #1 the coil ohm values are there.

yeah if I disconnect the tci I still have 12v at the grey wire. I plug it back in then it drops to 10.34v
