its a 160 right now.
if I do anything, it will be just a gsxr wheel swap to fit a 17" 160.

iv got my own bike thread if you have any other questions.

me and Freeze are both trying to figure out how to get it...
but I think we both came to terms that we cant do it, and have it look GOOD at the same time so we both say F-it. shorty's FTW

it can be done with my setup pretty easily. I went to a lot of trouble clearing out the undertail area, plus with my header I have options. I was originally planning on doing a single midpipe to a y, but the bend would be too extreme for the right can and they would not flow evenly. Then i thought about doing two smaller pipes like a ducati, but wrapping around the swingarm, but again, room comes into effect here. Then I managed to get another heel guard for my rearsets for the right side(sits straight up instead of angling back to protect from the chain on the left side, and have a pipe go around either side of the swingarm to its respective can. I could still do these, but the more I look at it, the more I want to unclutter the undertail. As is, my bike kinda has the illusion o fbeing stretched at certain angles. plus I cleaned up the back edge of the frame ncie and smooth. Minimalism is growing on me the more time I spend looking at the bike. And while the undertail cans woudl be neat, theyre still the stock r1 cans, plus I woudl ahve to cut the pipes off them and adapt them, so if I ever added aftermarket cans, they would have to be modified as well. I could easily pull off the undertails now, I just really want to anymore. im going to use the shorty for now, but im toying with the idea of some sort of baffled turndown from an open header, or maybe a motogp style shorty. I also just ordered a 50' roll of exhaust wrap :D

Hmmm, looks like the tank is not finished. Thanks to the positioning of the tank and the size and shape of the upper triple, it hits limiting the turning radius by about 25% per side! Im going to have to bend down the lip of the tank. I hate having to bend parts of the tank, its just asking for paint to chip off. But since this isnt going to be a drag bike, I kinda need to turn.

Im still not sold on this shorty idea. It needs to be painted black and a real mount made for it, and Id probably wrap all but the tip like the rest of the exhaust, but Im just not feeling it. It doesnt seem to flow.

I still may do the dual undertails, but just cant afford the multiple DOM bent pipes, but have the perfect header for what I want to do. 2 pipes, mirror images, one on either side of the bike.

I really want something like this, with more of a curve. It flows better, but costs more for the can alone than the custom midpipes would

How about hydroforming your own curvy end can?

its funny...that shorty once was going to be placed onto my bike.

I wish you could just run open header, maybe with a mid pipe cut off at an angle.

thats what I was getting at lol.
I wish he put it on so I would have it on my bike haha.
I love/hate this r1 exhaust. the inner diameter is so small and it took away all power.
do you know the inside diameter of the r6 shorty?

For some reason I thought you were going to buy it at one point. Ive had so many people offer to buy it i cant remember. 1-3/4 I think. Its one step smaller than my midpipe. Still need to pick up an adapter. but its a straight thru muffler, no baffles at all.
