Hi peeps
not sure if this i the correct cat to post in, appologise in advance!
Basicaly my friend bought a rs125, (his 1st bike)
it was running fine the day he got it, (altho getting into neutral was a pain)
after a day or 2 of riding he dropped it, (no biggy) amoungst stalling it a few times... (5+)
it was running fine...
the next day he couldnt get it to start...
I have tried pretty much all the ways i can think of to start it,
the only way it seems to start is when the spark plug is warmed up and put in, it fires but struggles to tick over... once warm it seems fine, but cuts out going from 2nd to 3rd...
it tiks over around 1100revs
when rev'd it sounds asif there too much air going in... i adjusted the screw until it sounded right but the problem was still there...
assuming it could be one of the following...
Dirt in the carb/feul line
damaged clutch plates
spark plug
or battery
im quite a noob myself, but this is what im geussing...
let me know if anyone has had the same problem, or ideas?
thanks
Aprillia RS125 gears/starting problem...

You do realise, you're looking for help with a small-bore stroker on a board dedicated to fat diesels, right?
Any way - it sounds like something in the fuel system got knocked loose, a bit of crud that has migrated into the carb and jets. He only has ONE carb, so pull it and clean it! While you're in there, pull the fuel tap on the tank, look for crud on the outlet screen. Make sure the float and float valve move freely, make sure the airbox and air filter are re-installed properly.
Actually - first thing, check to make sure his air filter isn't soaked with fuel!
