Possible stolen 1996 FZR 1000

I found this bike on the web and someone is claiming they bought it at a auction, that and the title owner is in prison. Doesn't add up being it went through a auction... he should have got a clear title of some sort or the auction was a ripoff too.... I believe his story is bs.

I went and checked it out... go the vin... plastics are a bit busted up... The pics on the link you gave us show some damage... I seen that... some new too.

I did a simple instavin check... tomorrow I will call iowa dmv ... so far it is clear of salvage or junk with no alerts on the title.

Below is a link of how to get a bonded title... just with that portion alone... and the costs... previous owner able to claim it... Hell NO!

if he got it from an auction he would have also gotten a paper or something stating that to prove his new ownership
